Foyle Down Syndrome Trust Go Back to the 80’s

Foyle Down Syndrome Trust marked world Down Syndrome Awareness Month March in 80’s style!

Recently Lorraine Gallen, Manager of Foyle Down Syndrome Trust, was presented with a cheque for £2065. The total was the proceeds from a fun-filled fundraising 80’s night disco held at the Delacroix on 4th March 2016 by the FDST Parent Fundraising Group.

Trust Director and Fundraiser Dara McNeill said, ” The night itself was fantastic, everyone dressed up and got into the spirit of the evening and it was great to meet up with other families in a relaxed setting. The event was so successful that we intend to run it now on an annual basis.”

Trust Manager Lorraine Gallen said, ” We are so very grateful to our Parent Fundraising Group who continue to support all of the activities at Foyle Down Syndrome Trust in such a practical way. On this occasion, not only have they had a lot of fun but they have raised an amazing amount of money for our children and young people with Down Syndrome. The monies raised will go towards the delivery of our varied Social and Personal Development Programmes for all our age groups.”
